It’s expensive. But, they offer payment plans. I was thinking of doing it, but chose against for one reason. No one knows the long terms effect of the procedure. It’s so new that no one can say “I had it done 20 years ago, and I’m okay.” You don’t know what will happen with your eyes in the long term.

The price is coming down. I had it done in 1999 and it was around $5.5K.
Don’t listen to people telling you not to do it. The procedure was virtually painless and the newer methods are better than the one I had. I could see crystal apparent, maybe 4 hours after surgery. Took a nap, woke up and could read my alarm clock across the room. I had worn glasses/contacts since 5th grade.
My eyesight is still brilliant.

mine cost about 4K because of the type of procedure i needed (PRK vs Lasik), Lasik is cheaper…but like someone else said – they are your eyes, you don’t want something like that to be cheap.
as for risky – depends on the person, same goes for how long it lasts or regresses (most everyones eyes change in their 40’s)
and FYI there are no known cases of legal blindness.
do lots of research before you get it done on both the procedure and the general practitioner preforming it.

its around 3 thousand dollars and is relatively safe. But, my member of the clergy has had the surgery 3 times and relapsed each time. Your eyes may not accept the surgery which would cause you to any have it again or back to corrective wear.

My brother had it done, cost him 4k, which I thought was REALLY expensive. On the additional hand, I guess the words “cheap” and “my vision” really don’t belong in the same sentence eh? He likes it, though his took about a week to apparent up. At first he thought it didn’t work.
I’d be REAL intense about read-owing to out the dr I was thinking of by, want a lot of patient referrals, etc. Def not something I’d let some newbie do!

Its costly around £300 per eye and after 10 years there is a chance of blindness

Usually a couple grand depending on the rigorous procedure…..It is not very risky at all…..certainly less risky than getting into an automobile these days.

Don’t do it it’s really expensive and a waste of money.
Your eye gets hurt and they heal so in about 1 or 2 years your eyes will be back to normal. Sometimes people can be blinded with laser eye surgery my friend got blinded with it and she is really upset about it. She went outside after it and she could see impeccably but after 1 month she went to the hospital because her eyes were hurting and she couldn’t see very well. The doctor told her she was blind and I had to comfort her because she was so upset about not getting to see her small girl grow up. :’(
