I have had the lasik surgery and so has my mother. I paid for both. It is expensive but it is worth it. My mother was legally blind tho not diagnosed as such for obvious reasons. She wouldn't have been able to get a driver's license etc... She just cept going to the eye doc and getting stonger glasses. After surgery her eye sight is great 20/30 and she does not need glasses for anything. Her surgery was either 6 or 7 years ago. My surgery was also wonderful. Mine was about 5 or 6 years ago. I think that i may need to go and get my eyes tested again. The surgery will only take care of what is wrong with your eyes at the time. It will not prevent your eyes from continuing to get worse if they are going to. Most docs recommend that you wait till your eye prescription hasn't changed much in last couple of checks. There for if you are wearing coke bottle lenses the improvement would be great. But you also need to know the risks involved. Do the research online or at your eye speciallist.

My friend had it about 3 months ago...and its amazing! she has perfect vision now...she even spots things way before i do and my eyes are fine! It was very costly though, it depends on how badly your eyes are affected! If you are thinking about this as a solution...you can get a consultation for which they can assess you and its a very simple procedure, My friend was only in there for about 20mins, she didn't even have time to take her jacket off!

It is good for supporting the doctor's affluent life style. Additionally, the patients may benefit from the procedure.

if the problem is correctible with glasses then you can have lasik surgery.  As long as your grade(?) is stable then you shouldn't have any problems. Also you have to go through a battery of tests to determin the quality of the eye, if its viable for surgey.  After 18 or 21 years old is a good age to have the surgery as long as you pass. I had my surgery around 6 years ago and my vision is still 20/20 up to now. But the surgery doesn't work for everyone, ask your eye doctor regarding their success rate.;

It's good for cosmetic purposes and convenience if you want to get rid of glasses or contacts. It is not recommended if your eyes are still changing...it is recommended for people in their late 20s or older, depending on whether your eyes are changing or not.
